Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:22 PM Monday July 17, 2017 to a report of a gas leak after a gas line was hit by a forklift at Matrix Manufacturing, 1435 East Algonquin Road Mount Prospect, Il. A fire crew on arrival reports a worker says there is an inside gas leak near the south loading dock — a gas line was hit by a forklift.
A gas valve was shut off and the leak was stopped or prevented.
Firefighters ventilated the interior of the business, the valve remained shut off for line repairs.
